Grandma Ruth got a new Yorkie puppy, Darcy, a few weeks ago and Marley absolutely LOVES playing with the the puppy!  She is constantly holding Darcy and having Darcy play with all of the dog toys!  Darcy is really cute and so spunky!

MJ at Deer Valley

I love going to the concerts at Deer Valley Resort in the summer.  It's so fun to bring a picnic dinner, enjoy the lovely weather and beautiful view.  I'm so lucky that Kevin will go with me (and hopefully he enjoys it as well!) We try to make it at least once each summer.  This year we saw the Utah Symphony perform with a Michael Jackson impersonator.  I must say he was pretty darn good.  We went with Jeff and Jen Davis and some of their friends.
 Jen shaking her booty!

So we noticed this guy in the yellow shirt who kept running by every so often and did that for what seemed to be for an hour.  He kept waving to someone sitting near us.  We noticed he would run around the entire perimeter of the concert, but we couldn't figure out why and never did, but figured that he must have run a few miles by the time he was done!

Kevin had a concert nemesis, and there he is, standing in the blue shirt!

For Crying Out Loud

Unfortunately there are times while I'm driving the kids around and one or all of them start to cry (probably happens more than I care to admit!)  This time it was Grace's turn to well, turn.  She starts to cry, and instead of showing mercy and at least making an attempt to console her sister, Marley decides to take pictures of Grace's cry fest instead!

Delicious Salad

One day we got some take-out and I got a salad.  Grace refused to eat her meal and ended up sitting on my lap.  She proceeded to eat nearly my entire salad! I was so surprised that she liked salad that much.  Marley is SO much more picky, so I wrongly put Grace in that same category. So now we get Grace her own salad, and she absolutely enjoys eating it.  I love that she wants to eat something so healthy!

Potty Time

This is such a cute picture!  Marley had helped Grace get on the toilet because Grace had asked to go to the bathroom.  Grace will often say she needs to go to the bathroom and want to sit on the toilet.  Unfortunately, all she does is sit there.  No poop or peeing.

Jungle Jim's with Dad

Marley and Grace LOVE Jungle Jim's!  I had a few discounted passes so we took them there for a little treat.  I couldn't ride this ride being 8 months pregnant, so Kevin had to.  This is Marley's favorite ride and I can't believe how much Grace likes this ride because when Marley was her age, Marley was a bit fearful because it goes pretty fast as far as kid's rides go.

Of course Marley is digging for gold!

Marley's face in this picture makes me laugh every time I look at it!! She looks so goofy!!

It's a nice attempt...

Grace was wearing a little sun dress, that, of course, she took off as the day wore on.  I don't know why kids think running around without clothes is so wonderful, but my kids are no exception.  Maybe because the clothes are restrictive and wouldn't it be great if, as an adult, people thought that your little fat rolls were so adorable?  Any how, this is Grace's attempt to put her dress back on...at least she is trying!

Sunscreened and Ready

We have been doing a lot of swimming at the JCC this summer with our neighbors, the Parkin family. Marley gets along so well with Holly's son, Hendrix and they have a membership to the JCC as well so it works perfectly!  I really LOVE the outdoor pool the JCC has because it's perfect for Grace and Marley to swim in!!  After putting her swim suit on, Marley was so anxious to get to the pool, she started to put sunscreen on herself.  This was the result:

Some Old School Photos

One good thing about moving is that you go through things that are left untouched for long periods of time.  I found all of these old scrapbook albums I had put together and I thought, hey, let me take a little trip down memory road.  I found all these great photos of my family (the Ackroyd's) that made me laugh!!!  This is the reason why I scrapbook and blog (I print off a yearly book from the things I post on this blog), so I can look back.  I love looking at old photos and maybe that's why I feel compelled to do so!
Can't believe how young Seth looks!!  But this is kind of the age that I still imagine him being!

Has anything changed here? Alece slothing on a chair in the living room, or in a rental car in the Disneyland parking lot (because, yes, my family was too poor to eat in the park, so we brown bagged it in the parking lot! haha!!)

Funny thing, Jono still eats ice cream like this!
Everyone's favorite ex-grandpa, George.  Even though he was only in our lives for a few crazy years, Seth and Kevin can't let his memory go!
