Speek

Speek
If you haven't noticed, there is a little widget on my sidebar: I love speek. My friend Chantae has a friend, Amy, that has been working on this project for more than over a year now and I think its a great idea and opportunity. Here's how it works: You join Speek. You fill out a profile. You receive advertising via our online viewer. You are paid $.05 for every 10 second ad you view. A beneficiary or non-profit organization of your choice also receives $.05 donation for every 10 second ad you view. You share Speek. You are paid $.01 for every ad your friend & her friend & her other friend views. It adds up. You go shopping (with a coupon you printed from an ad you saw on Speek). Everyone is happy. If when you are signing up you realize the non-profit you'd like to support is not yet listed - email Amy & she will try to get them listed. For example...you might want to support your child's PTO or their soccer team. The goal is to get everyone involved in a cause they care about.

You can add the widget and then you can come leave a comment on Amy's blog & be entered in the giveaway...scotandamyinc.blogspot.com

I looked to join, and you won't be able to join until Wed Oct 1, but I think I will when I can!

Las Vegas

We went to Las Vegas at the begining of this week because of a mining convention that Kevin went to for work. Marley got to see dolphins and the white lions and tigers. We got to do shopping and went to an "Ulimate Variety Show" at Planet Hollywood where we sat on fold out chairs and watched people fold their bodies in half.

We soon realized that we were bad parents when we walked through the casino with Marley and saw that there were no other babies in the casino.

We got Marley started gambling early...parents of the year strike again!

Gardner Village

Gardner Village is always fun this time of year. Halloween is a favorite holiday around our house!!
Marley with her Aunt Tina

Family Time at the Cabin

We went to Flaming Gorge with Grandpa Jerry and Grandma Ruth (and their two doggies Dickens and Hershey). We had a good time relaxing and enjoying each other's company.
Nap Time! Grandpa Jerry fell asleep with Marley & Doggie Dickens

Grandma Ruth, Marley, & Grandpa Jerry
Grandpa Jerry & Grandma Ruth bought Marley a little golf cart. She's not old enough yet to actually use it, but she sure looks cute trying!

HEART WALK

Maren and I took Marley to Sugarhouse Park to participate in the heart walk/run. Maren and I had to walk because Marley's little umbrella stroller couldn't handle a running pace!

Aging Hipster?

So am I an aging hipster now? I saw Boys II Men (ABC BBD--Lindy :)) at the Scera Shell on Thursday with Mandi, Lindy, and Mandi's friends who are real estate partners (who might be partners in more than real estate!) Boys II Men was the first concert I went to when I was about 14 or 15 (and I went with Mandi to that one as well!) I was surprised I still remembered all the lyrics to the songs that I had albums of! I honestly can't believe that I am now one of those people who is going to concerts like this and feeling nostalgic! The person I instantly thought of was Necia Odunze--even though we all loved them, she loved them the most! I wish she could have been there! I had a fabulous time! The pictures aren't the best but they turned out better than I thought they would!

Miss Happy Face

Drinking from a Straw

Marley has always loved this mug. Everytime I drink out of it, she stares at me. So I let her have a chance at drinking out of it and she absolutely loved it!!

Memory Game

Memory Game
Play Mandi's memory game with me! Here's how it works:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Family Fun

We have my cousins, Zach and Josh, visiting us from Ohio. So we had Sunday dinner together and had a great time hanging out with the Fam!! Josh is such a good cousin to Marley as he is always wanting to hold her and thinks she is really cute!!

Fourth of July

We took Marley to her first Bees Baseball game for the Fourth of July with some friends. We weren't sure whether or not she would be scared of the fireworks or not, but she did so well. She just kicked back and watched the entire show. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful child--we love her so much!!!\

Lunch with the Ackroyd's

After going to the Red Butte Garden's we had lunch at Red Robin.
Grandma Orimi loves Marley and just thinks she so cute!!

Although Aunt Alece looks like she's had a hard night of drinking and partying, she's quite sober!!

Uncle Jono must really like you Marley because he actually asked to hold you.

Taylor & Jaycee

Marley got to see her friends Taylor & Jaycee and have lunch in Gardner's Village. They both are very wonderful Marley and so sweet & helpful. I can only hope Marley's like that when she's older! We love those girls!
I love Marley's face in this picture!!
Taylor is so good with Miss Marley!

Jaycee & Marley are adorable!

Marley loves her Daddy

Marley visits the horse barn

Miss Marley went to visit her cousins at the horse barn!!
Her cousin Seth looks a lot like her dad, Kevin, when Kevin was little!

This is Marley's cousin Aric. He loves Marley lots & is working on being her favorite cousin!

Marley's cousin Luke took a green marker to himself and told us, "I'm special!" Yes, Luke, you are.

Ryan has his very own horse and is also very sweet to Marley.

Miss Marley got some "professional" pictures taken at Target. Of course I'm biased, but I think they turned out so well!! The bracelet she is wearing in some of the pictures was actually her Grandma Ruth's bracelet. It's still a little too bit for Marley, but I'm sure she will grow into it!

Cabin Fever

The first weekend in June, we went to Flaming Gorge with some friends from Phoenix. We had such a good time and were sad to see them go! (And Chantae, we don't have any pictures of you and I together!)

Even though this picture of Kevin and Karl is a bit blurry, you can feel that their man love is just as bright as their orange vests...does it give you a "Broke Back Mountian" feel?

Karl looks pretty hard with that AK47 lol

The way Karl holds the gun and show's off his abs will make it hard for the ladies forget the sexiness of it all!
Kevin thinks he's pretty bad shooting that gun!

Here's Marley with Charlie--who's about two
months older than Marley. Charlie is such a lovely baby--she's so smiley and happy, plus she's bootilicious!!
