Four-Wheeling in American Fork Canyon

Kevin has been trying to use his four-wheeler as much as he can this summer and so he and Jono went up American Fork Canyon on some trails up there.  Since Kevin got a four-wheeler, Jono had to as well because then Jono would have someone to go with.  But Jono is a cart-before-the-horse kind of guy: he bought the four-wheeler but has no trailer or vehicle to tow it.  So he just uses ours :)

Water Guns

Kevin bought some cheap water guns for the kids.  Marley and Grace thought it was a riot to play with them.  Marley to squirt people and Grace to use as a drinking device!

The Hiding Place

Sometime just before or just after bath time, we will play hide-and-seek with the girls.  Marley will usually come up with some decent places to hide (unless Grace follows her and rats Marley out by pointing out Marley's hiding place to us!)  This is where Grace likes to "hide".  Pretty inconspicuous!

Trapped on the Bumper Cars

I went with Maren Larsen and her son Mack to Jungle Jim's with Marley and Grace.  They love this place because it's an indoor amusement park for little kids.  I only got one picture, but I love it!  Marley and Mack got on the bumper cars...and this is where Mack stayed the entire ride! He wasn't quite sure how to maneuver the car, so he just sat there watching everyone drive around!  Poor kid!

Primary Program

Today was the Primary program which I love because there are hardly any children in our ward so it's fun to see them all get up there and sing, but mostly doing whatever they feel like doing!

 Grace LOVES Marley's Bitty Baby!  I think I know what she's getting for her birthday this year!!

 It took A LOT of encouragement to get Marley to walk up to the front by herself.  She thought that her friend Avery Bills was going to go up there, but Avery chickened out and left Marley to go it alone.  But I am so proud she went up there to sing anyway!  She did so well!!  It's hard to see her but she is on the first row on stage at the very bottom left corner!

Millcreek Festival

Millcreek holds this annual little festival at Canyon Rim park (I don't know what for...summer, I guess) and they have all these booths and free activities for the kids!

This barrel train was so cute!  The girls rode it several times!

Pony Rides!

Marley sure looks happy to be around the ponies!

We got this little bird house at the festival and Marley was so excited to go home and build it (or, at least, watch Kevin put it together!)

Fun with Flowers

Marley is the queen of picking flowers, even if they are just dandelions. We have a bush in the front yard that produces large amounts of these small purple flowers that Marley is always picking.  Then she tries to get to put them in her hair!

Frozen Food...Yum!

Grace came to me  to show me what she decided her snack was to be.  She is able to open the freezer, as it is located below the fridge, just her height.  Grace is munching on frozen peas and a frozen Pillsbury strudel.  Seems like quite the delicious combo!

Sharing the Vent

Marley loves to put her blanket over the heating/ac vents because they puff up like a balloon.  Then she likes to lay down on it.  She has gotten Grace roped in and now they will both make a little bed over the vent.  Doesn't look comfortable, but as long as they are having fun and not fighting, I'm just fine with it!

Slacking at Church

This is how Marley pays attention when she is in Sacrament Meeting at church...her back to the pulpit, looking at something other than the speaker!

Reading with Aunt Goose

I thought it was so cute that both girls were able to share Alece's lap while Alece read them a book.  Sometimes Marley and Grace have a tendency to fight over things, so it was nice to see them calmly listening. Especially Grace because she is much more wiggly.  Marley would let you read to her endlessly, even when she was really little.  Grace has a one or two book max before she wants to get down!

Painting in the Buff

Here is more proof that Grace doesn't like to wear clothes, no matter what the activity.  She and Marley were doing water colors, and she decided that she does her best work sans clothing!
