Four-Wheeling in Moab

We LOVE using our tent trailer!  It's so much fun.  I like it better than tent camping because of the conveniences it offers but you still feel like you're really camping.  We told the Shane and Debbie Mattingly that we were going to take a trip to Moab with our tent trailer and Kevin's new four-wheeler (I gave him a four-wheeler for Christmas...and, yeah, wife of the year strikes again!)  They decided that they wanted to come along with us.  We also invited Ashley and Dusty Stephens as well (maybe to redeem ourselves from the trip we took with them to the Grand Tetons!) and the Mattingly's invited some of their friends as well.  The weather was WONDERFUL!  We had a fabulous time and I hope we can go again next year!

We made sure we got another one of these little kid sized camping chairs because Marley and Grace fought over the only we we had last time we used the tent trailer!

Grace rolling around in the bed of the tent trailer when she should be taking a nap!

There was no parking near the trail-head that would lead us to this arch (I didn't realize that it was national park day, so entrance to Arches National Park was free).  So we had to take an alternate trail that led us to a place we would view the arch from a distance.

The wind up Dusty's shirt makes him look more chubby than he really is!

I think Marley took this photo!

Oh, what an adorable little Cooke family!

This is Grace in the tent trailer when she's supposed to be sleeping but wouldn't stop messing around with toys.  In fact, I think she may have fallen asleep with that play cell phone by her ear!

No Horsing Around

We had to drop the tent trailer off at Papa Jerry's horse barn, so we took Marley and Grace in to see the horses.  Jerry desperately wants the girls to loves horses as much as he does...but I don't think that Grace is liking the horses so much at this point.  We sent Jerry the picture of Grace crying because of the horse and he told us we were ruining Grace for liking horses!

Just Lounging

I tried to get a picture before she got up, but Grace was lounging around on the floor with some couch pillows, having a good time.  As you can see I didn't quite get the photo when she was laying down!

Sleepy Time

I know there are numerous posts with pictures of the kids asleep.  I just cannot seem to get over how cute they look when they are sleeping.  Maybe it's because there is no fighting or clamoring for my attention.   Just good old peace and quiet!

Young Women and Zumba

As a Young Women's presidency (I'm the second counselor) we wanted to get some info on some of the new young women that have come into our ward and do a spotlight on them during a week day activity.  In order for it to be a surprise, we put the activity under the guise of doing Zumba.  Most of them seemed pretty excited about doing it, so I had to snap some pictures!  The spotlight afterward was really nice!!

Nap on Marley

Once again, Marley laying down in a random place with her blankets to snuggle, and Grace decides to join her.  Not just to lay down by Marley, but Grace attempts to lay on top of Marley to take a siesta!

Young Women Surprise

We have had a lot of young women turn 12 and come into Beehives lately, so we have been doing birthday surprises by going to the birthday girl's house and surprising her by taking her back to a leaders house for treats.  Someone suggested putting nylon stockings over their heads so it would add to the surprise....?  But they looked so hilarious, I had to take some pictures!

Sadie North's 6th Birthday Party

Marley got invited to Sadie's 6th birthday party.  Marley had such a good time and got so sad when we had to leave!

Easter with the Ackroyd's

We went to Grandma Rimi's and Grandpa Doug's in Orem to eat some Easter dinner and have an egg hunt.  Marley is hard-core in to egg hunting.  She found some plastic eggs and her egg-hunting basket LONG before the Easter holiday and would have daily egg hunts.  This sparked Grace's egg-hunt interest and she would join the daily egg hunts as well.  So now that it is the real-deal egg-hunt, it's on!  Grandma Rimi put money instead of candy in the eggs this year! Whoo-hoo!!  After the hunt, we all counted our money and the Cooke family reigns supreme! We got the most moo-la! I guess those
daily egg-hunts paid off! BOO-YAH!!
